Device Management by Type

Whatever the type of device you have in your, or your customer's, infrastructure, netPrefect™ has the ability to manage it either directly, using one of the supported protocols, or through one of our pre-defined management packs. The management packs consist of the rules and reports required to monitor your device. 

netPrefect™ proactively inform you, via alerts, when conditions exist that are sub-optimal and/or reducing the effectiveness of your infrastucture to satisfy your business needs.

Use the IBM Toolbox for Java to proactively query the status of your AS400/iSeries servers.

Lights-Out Card

Remotely manage your devices via their built-in or add on lights out card. Connect to your HP iLO card and execute native RIBCL commands to interrogate the status of your server. Using a standard serial connection, power on and off your Sun servers via their built-in LOM card.

Microsoft Windows

Monitor all aspects of your Windows servers and desktops from simple event log entries to your complete Microsoft Exchange deployment. Using the agent server manager, monitor your mobile windows laptops and home workers even when they drop-in for coffee at an internet cafe.

Switches and Routers

Use SNMP to monitor all aspects of your networking infrastructure either by interpreting received SNMP Traps, or by interrogating your devices using SNMP GET requests on a schedule that you define. If your devices support TFTP for configuration backups, use netPrefect™ to automatically perform your backups on your desired schedule e.g. daily or weekly.

Uninteruptible Power Supplies

Monitor the status of your UPS systems, be informed when input power fails, or the batteries are in need of replacement.
